Artist (and LPA Board member) Katy Clagett has always been preoccupied with the built environment. She spends the bulk of her time exploring and looking at the world around her, trying to capture its beauty and nuance through her lens.

Exploring the idea of what makes something iconic and paired with the desire to definitively capture the unique nature of twelve core Lawrence neighborhoods, Core Icons, Clagett’s latest body of photographic work, ultimately serves as a love letter to the often overgrown streets of Lawrence. The exhibit will be at Decade, 920 Delaware St, Lawrence. An artist's reception will be held Sunday, Sept. 16, from 5 to 7 p.m.
